What is the Board of Management?
The Board manages the school in accordance with the Department of Education Rules for National Schools. It employs teaching and ancillary staff. The Board is responsible for the running of the school and organises school maintenance. It must ensure that the school has adequate funding. The officers of the Board serve for a four-year term.
The Board of Management is made up of two Executive Committee appointments, two elected parents’ nominees, an elected teachers’ nominee, the principal teacher, and two people from the wider community, bringing the total Board membership to eight. The current Board was appointed in December 2023.
